the Operation
The Hi-Count is owned and
operated by David Wolfson, a USCG licensed 100-ton captain since 1993.
David�s experienced and professional crew offers unparalleled
safety and customer service.
About the Captain
David�s desire to be a fisherman began at an early age.
At 14 years old, he went to work for Don Brockman aboard the
Freelance. He then became a
deckhand for Frank LoPreste on the Royal Polaris, and went on to operate
as second captain aboard the Royal Star for Tim Ekstrom.
At age 22, he ran his first 10-day trip and had an outstanding
catch. In the spring of 2000, David acquired the HI-COUNT and
brought a new and aggressive 6-pack operation to Southern California.
As you can see, David has worked for the �best� operations on
the coast. He has fished
everywhere from the Channel Islands for Rockcod all the way down to
Clipperton for Giant Yellowfin Tuna.
About the Boat
The HI-COUNT is a custom-built 44� Pacifica sportfisher that was
designed by fisherman for fisherman. Twin
671 TI Detroit Diesel engines produce a top speed of 18 knots. Her beam is 15� 6" -unlike some other charter
boats- this makes for a giant cockpit with plenty of elbowroom to
maneuver when the big ones are biting. Our
bait capacity is huge: with
two tanks on the stern and one on the bow, you never have to go far on
deck to pin on some fresh bait. Her
creature comforts are awesome: she sports a full galley, a spacious salon,
an entertainment system, two heads, a shower, and three staterooms.
She sleeps six passengers and one crewmember in seven separate
berths.

If you are an avid big-game fisherman or you just want a day on the water
away from all the �chaos�, the HI-COUNT is the boat for you!
We are sponsored and provide all of the gear that you will need
including premier graphite fishing rods and Newell reels. Complimentary fish processing is included
on each trip: we will clean and freezer-pack your catch while we return to
the dock.
The HI-COUNT is available for
half day, � day, twilight, overnight all day, or multi-day trips. We
also offer Harbor Cruises, Whale Watching, and Christmas Parade Cruises
during the winter months.
